The National Tourism Registry (RNT) must be obtained by all providers of tourist services that carry out operations in Colombia in order to offer services. This registry is mandatory for its operation and must be updated annually, in accordance with the provisions of article 11 of Decree 2074 of 2003, the RNT will have an annual validity and must be updated between January 1 and March 31 of each year.

​The certification of the RNT by the providers of tourist services, especially the lodging services, avoids investigations and imposes fines by the SIC - Superintendence of Industry and Commerce.
